I got 507 unique readers!

Posted in Personal on January 12th, 2010 by Gerald Lum – 2 Comments

Almost everyday from my Live Traffic Feed, I see I got visitors on my blog on LG  GM730 compare to samsung jet few month ago even now. Its was until few minutes ago I visited ping.sg where i ping my blog to check the stats. I got a shock.

I got 507 unique readers! So this is how and where i got my traffic from! The highest unique reader I used to have is 248  from this blog I wrote about honda fit 2008 vs swift sport ( sadly blog page deleted ).

507

Why am I surprised? Because, due to the lack of practice, my English is getting from bad to worse. I like to compare and write my review but in my own LOUSY SINGLISH! Sound not professional but its my personal blog and this is who I am! haha! :X

Maybe this is a unique way of showing who am I?? Who knows I will be a top lousy review writer?

good day!

Nexus One Vs iphone

Posted in Review by an Idiot, Technology & Gargets on January 11th, 2010 by Gerald Lum – 10 Comments

n1I cannot image how powerful this iphone thingy is. There is so many company even people comparing with iphone. Is iphone the king of the smart phone? Which brand will eventually take over? Maybe nexus one?

I’m sick of my samsung jet and will get my hand on this iphone when my mobile contact ended. Now come this nexus one which most claim that this can be the iphone killer. I did a search at the youtube and view the function, the sliding whether its as smooth as iphone. Seems pretty cool and exciting.

My review on Nexus one with iphone

  • Nexus one battery can be detactable like normal phone, which mean you can change easily when the battery is damaged.
  • Nexus one has a expandable memory slot up to 32gig. ( default 4gig )
  • Only has one dullish color, unlike iphone has a posh shining finishing with 2 color choices
  • bigger screen than iphone
  • but read from forum that the battery drain out after playing games for 1 hour
  • 5 mega pixels compare to iphone’s 3mega pixels

I will properly wait for more real users feedback on nexus one.

Watch a detail comparison on nexus one vs iphone. est 18mins

review site for my new membership plan

Posted in Internet Business on January 5th, 2010 by Gerald Lum – Be the first to comment

I have decided to include a review site for my new membership plan. I have been searching actively at the warrior forum and found out lots of internet marketers are hiring designer for minisites. Very few are buy review sites.

I have always wanted a pofessionally design review a long time ago. In fact I have even design my own review sites and make couple of hundreds buck before.

Review sites can help readers make descision and recommendation. Choose top 3 products, test them and write your reviews. If you cannot write, you can hire writer to write for a small fees.

I have engage a designer for to design a review site for USD67. This will be given to members who upgrade their membership at sponsoryourads.com. I will be giving them the html/css and psd file so they can edit freely.

I will still be getting one review/mini site for a more premium membership.

Creating membership and affiliate program

Posted in Internet Business, Personal on November 24th, 2009 by Gerald Lum – Be the first to comment

Recent has been a really bad month. My website project is delay. While 70% of the work is done, the 30% remaining which I thought is the easiest to get it done turn out to be the toughest. Membership sign up and the affiliate program are the remaining 30%.

The script that I have bought probably a year ago doesnt seem to suit my project. It required installation so its diffcult  for someone who has zero programming skills. I paid $80 for installation. Turn out it still need customisation. Its frustating. I contact the programmer but time is not on my side. I have been waiting for a about a month to start on the customise script for this project. I have spent alot of time and effort planning and changing this project.

The decision to wait or not to wait for the programmer took me a week. I’ve decided to start searching and asking for a more suitable membership and affiliate program. Easymemberpro probably is the next best membership and affiliate management program. But it is still not suitable.

While I searching the forum, I came across a comment that wrote ” the best affiliate script is to create your own. “  Why not? Designing my own affiliate program is the best and most suituable. I spend about 2 hours creating a static design. Will send to my programmer for quotation. It will not be as cheap as ready made script but at least it suit my needs.

2010 is going to an important year for me as I’m getting married. Need to kick start my project and focus on my wedding.

To be honest, I getting impatient. 2010 is going to be an important year for me and I really need to settle this project so I can focus on my wedding.
